Brighter, more open eyes, naturally.

With age, the skin of the eyelids stretches and the fat that cushions the eye can shift forward. The result is heavy, hooded upper lids and puffy bags below the eyes that make you look tired even when you feel rested. Blepharoplasty removes or repositions that excess skin and fat to open up the eye area.
At Miami Eye Institute, eyelid surgery is performed by board-certified ophthalmologist Dr. Inna Ozerov. As an eye surgeon, she plans every incision around how your lids open, close, and protect the eye, so results look natural and your eyes stay comfortable.
Upper lids that sag far enough can also block part of your vision. Lifting them can widen your field of view as well as refresh your appearance. Eyelid surgery is part of our wider range of cosmetic procedures and facial rejuvenation options.

OUR APPROACH
What to expect from eyelid surgery.
From your first visit to your final result, Dr. Ozerov walks you through every step.

Consultation & Eye Exam
Dr. Ozerov examines your eyelids, brows, and the health of your eyes, including dryness and tear film, and talks through what you want to change. If drooping lids affect your vision, a visual field test can measure how much.
Upper Eyelid Surgery
A fine incision hidden in the natural crease of the upper lid lets Dr. Ozerov remove excess skin and, where needed, a little fat. Once healed, the scar sits in the fold and is very hard to see.
Lower Eyelid Surgery
Under-eye bags are smoothed by removing or repositioning fat, often through an incision just below the lashes or on the inside of the lid, with excess skin tightened as needed.
Recovery & Follow-Up
The procedure is done as an outpatient, usually with local anesthesia. Expect swelling and bruising for about 7 to 10 days; most patients return to normal activities within about two weeks. Dr. Ozerov sees you after surgery to check your healing.
